Here you'll find terms and conditions for Tower's current promotions. Some of our promotions run for a limited time only and we archive these terms and conditions when a promotion ends.

General Promotion Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (“General Terms”) apply to all promotions, competitions and offers listed below (collectively, “Promotion”).
In these General Terms, Tower means Tower Limited (Tower), at times referred to "we" or "us".
All Promotions are only open to residents of New Zealand aged at least 18 years.
By entering any Promotion and/or taking out a policy to enter into any Promotion, you are deemed to accept and agree to be bound by these General Terms as well as the specific terms and conditions relating to the relevant Promotion below (“Specific Terms”).
Where relevant, Tower policy terms, conditions, exclusions and underwriting criteria apply in respect of all eligible policies.
Information on how to enter the relevant Promotion, including any instructions in Tower advertisements, printed material, social media or websites will form part of the terms and conditions for the relevant Promotion. To the extent of any inconsistency in the information in any advertisements, printed material or websites, the General Terms and Specific Terms will prevail.
Tower will collect, hold and use your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (as amended, replaced or supplemented from time to time) (“Privacy Act”), and our privacy policy.
In accordance with the Privacy Act, you have the right to request access to and correction of your personal information held by Tower.
From time to time Tower may also use your information to provide you with communications for promotional and marketing purposes. If you do not want to receive such communications please let us know at any time by calling Tower on 0800 379 372 or by emailing unsubscribe@tower.co.nz.
Where a prize is offered as part of a Promotion, Tower reserves the right to request any prize winners to provide proof of identity, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity. In the event that such proof is not provided by the prize winner, is not received by Tower within a reasonable time or is not satisfactory to Tower, then that prize winner shall forfeit their rights to the prize.
All decisions made by Tower are final with respect to all matters relating to any Promotion and no further correspondence or discussions will be entered into.
Tower reserves the right to change, suspend or cancel the terms and conditions for a Promotion at any time.
Except for liability that may not by law be excluded, Tower will not be liable for any loss, claim, cost, expense, liability or injury suffered by any person in any way associated with any Promotion or for any prizes.
All Promotions are bound by the laws of New Zealand and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

Multi-policy discount

Discount may exclude travel, commercial vehicle, business and some cover under rural policies, GST, government levies and some optional special benefits.
Discount may vary depending on the total number and type of insurance policies with Tower.
Multi-policy discount may be referred to as 'package discount' in some customer documentation.

House Safety Tips promotion

These terms and conditions (Terms) apply to the "House Safety Tips" Promotion (Promotion). The General Terms above also form part of these Terms.
In these Terms: a) "Tower" means Tower Limited; and b) "Laser" means Laser Plumbing Group Limited, Laser Electrical Group Limited, and their franchise network.
The Promotion commences at 12.00pm Tuesday 10 August 2021 and ends at 11.59pm Wednesday 8 September 2021 (Promotion Period).
To enter this Promotion, you must comment with your house safety tip on one of the five house safety tip posts on Tower’s Facebook page for this Promotion (Posts) during the Promotion Period. Any comments that do not (in Tower’s opinion) contain a house safety tip will not be eligible to enter this Promotion.
Tower’s employees, Tower’s alliance partners, Laser’s affiliates, contractors and employees and for (each of them) their respective immediate families are not eligible to enter this Promotion.
By commenting, uploading and/or submitting any content (such as text, data, images, photos or names) (Content) in relation to this Promotion, you acknowledge that you have right to use, upload and/or submit the Content. You must not upload or submit any Content that you do not own or do not have the owner’s consent to upload or submit.
Only one entry per person is allowed on each of the five Post.
Any entries received outside of the Promotion Period will not be accepted and Tower does not accept any responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
There are 100 prizes in total to be won for this Promotion and each winner of a prize (Prize Winner) will receive one Laser Plumbing & Electrical Gift Card valued at $100 (Prize or Gift Card).
The Prizes are subject to Laser’s terms and conditions and the following: a) a Gift Card may be redeemed for any new plumbing or electrical services to be supplied by Laser Plumbing Group Limited and Laser Electrical Group Limited through its franchise network of plumbers and electricians; b) a Gift Card cannot be used for the purchase of a product, unless the product is incorporated, or forms part of the services being performed by a plumber or electrician in the Laser franchise network; c) a Prize Winner must notify the relevant Laser plumber or electrician at the time of booking the relevant service that they wish to use a Gift Card and must also provide the relevant code to redeem the Gift Card. Gift Cards cannot be redeemed without the relevant code; d) neither Tower nor Laser will be responsible for any lost or misplaced Gift Cards or codes; e) the Gift Card is valid for use up to and including 31 December 2021 and any unused Gift Card will automatically expire after that date; f) maximum of one job per Gift Card, so if the services cost less than $100, the balance of the Gift Card will be forfeited; and g) the Gift Card is not redeemable for cash.
Twenty-five Prizes will be awarded to the first five people to comment with a valid house safety tip on each of the five Posts during the Promotion Period (each, an Instant Prize Winner). The remaining seventy-five Prize Winners (each, a Drawn Prize Winner) will be determined by a random draw by Tower from all valid entries on Thursday 9 September 2021 and where required pursuant to clause 14(b) of these Terms, on the date any new Prize Winner is selected (Draw Date). Participants can only win as either an Instant Prize Winner or a Drawn Prize Winner, not both.
Tower will announce each Prize Winner through Facebook. The Instant Prize Winners will be notified after five people have commented on each Post and the remaining seventy-five Drawn Prize Winners will be notified after 9.00am on Friday 10 September 2021.
Each Prize Winner must privately message Tower via Facebook and provide their full contact details (including first name, last name, email address, phone number and address) within one week of that Prize Winner being announced on Facebook in order to claim their Prize.
If, for any reason, Tower does not receive a message containing the required information from a Prize Winner within the stated timeframe, the Prize Winner forfeits their Prize and Tower may (at its sole and absolute discretion): a) withdraw the Prize; and/or b) select a new Prize Winner from all valid entries. The same one week contact time frame will apply to any such Prize Winner.
Each Prize Winner will be sent their Prize by email.
By claiming a Prize, each Prize Winner: a) grants Tower the right to use their personal information (including their name, photograph, city and/or town) for marketing and publicity purposes in connection with this Promotion on Tower’s website, Facebook page, other social media networks and email communications; and b) consents to Tower sharing their personal information with Laser and to Laser contacting them in connection with the Gift Card and Laser’s services.
All entries are the property of Tower.
The Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-refundable, non-transferable, non-negotiable and cannot be redeemed for cash. If a Prize is not available for any reason, Tower reserves the right to substitute the Prize with another prize of a similar value.
If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, Tower may suspend, cancel or modify this Promotion.
This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook or Instagram, and you fully release Facebook and Instagram from any liability or responsibility for or in connection with this Promotion.
Tower and Laser will not be liable for any loss, claim, cost, expense, liability or injury (Loss) suffered by any person in any way associated with this Promotion or any Prizes, except where such Loss cannot be excluded by law.
By entering this Promotion, you are deemed to have accepted these Terms.
Prizes are awarded by Tower in its absolute discretion and any questions or concerns relating to this Promotion or these Terms are to be addressed to Tower. Any questions or concerns relating to the services provided by Laser are exclusively the responsibility of the licenced plumber or electrician who performed the relevant services.

Roadies & Boaties Top Tips Facebook Promotion

These terms and conditions (Terms) apply to the "Roadies & Boaties Top Safety Tips” Promotion (Promotion). The General Terms above also form part of these Terms.
In these Terms:
1. “Tower” means Tower Limited.
2. “MTA” means Motor Trade Association.
The Promotion commences at 12.00am Monday 8 November 2021 and ends at 11.59pm Wednesday 8 December 2021 (Promotion Period).
To enter this Promotion, you must comment with your road or boat safety tip on one of the six road or boat safety tip posts on Tower’s Facebook page (Posts) during the Promotion Period. Any comments that do not (in Tower’s opinion) contain a road or boat safety tip will not be eligible to enter this Promotion.
Tower’s employees, Tower’s alliance partners, MTA’s affiliates, contractors, and employees and for (each of them) their respective immediate families are not eligible to enter this Promotion.
By commenting, uploading and/or submitting any content (such as text, data, images, photos or names) (Content) in relation to this Promotion, you acknowledge that you have the right to use, upload and/or submit the Content. These terms and conditions (Terms) apply to the "GoCarma is turning 1” Facebook Promotion (Promotion). The General Terms above also form part of these Terms.
In these Terms “Tower” means Tower Limited.
The Promotion commences at 12.00am Monday 6 December 2021 and ends at 11.59pm Sunday 12 December 2021 (Promotion Period).
To enter this Promotion, you must tag a friend who you think should join GoCarma on the ‘1 year of GoCarma’ post on Tower’s Facebook page (Posts) during the Promotion Period. Any comments that do not (in Tower’s opinion) tag a valid Facebook user’s profile will not be eligible to enter this Promotion.
Tower’s and GoCarma’s employees and for (each of them) their respective immediate families are not eligible to enter this Promotion.
By commenting, uploading and/or submitting any content (such as text, data, images, photos or names) (Content) in relation to this Promotion, you acknowledge that you have the right to use, upload and/or submit the Content. Supporting Kiwis for 152 years

These terms and conditions (Terms) apply to the "Supporting Kiwis for 152 years” Promotion (Promotion). The General Terms above also form part of these Terms.
In these Terms “Tower” means Tower Limited.
The Promotion commences at 12.00pm Tuesday 21 September 2021 and ends at 11.59pm Monday 8 November 2021 (Promotion Period).
This Promotion is open to you if you purchased any Tower insurance policy online at tower.co.nz or over the phone from Tower prior to the Promotion Period or renewed any such Tower insurance policy during the Promotion Period (policies purchased through Tower’s partners, brokers or advisers, Trade Me Insurance or TSB Bank are excluded from this Promotion), and you have received the Emails for this Promotion (each an Eligible Customer).
Tower’s employees, alliance partners, contractors and employees and their respective immediate families are not eligible to enter this Promotion.
If you are an Eligible Customer, you can enter this Promotion by selecting the correct answer to the entry question in one of the three “Supporting Kiwis for 152 years” promotion emails sent to you by Tower for this Promotion during the Promotion Period (Emails). If you click on the correct answer, you’ll be taken to a landing page which will confirm you are in the prize draw.
Only one entry per person, per email, for a maximum of 3 entries in total can be entered into the prize draw.
Any entries received outside of the Promotion Period will not be accepted and Tower does not accept any responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
There are 5 prizes in total to be won: 1 grand prize of Noel Leeming Gift Cards valued at $1000 (Grand Prize) and 4 prizes of a Noel Leeming Gift Card valued at $500 (each a Prize).

Tower will contact each Prize Winner via email after 12.00pm on Monday 22 November 2021. Prize Winners will need to confirm their postal address for delivery of the Noel Leeming Gift Card(s).
If, for any reason, Tower is unable to contact a Prize Winner within 10 working days of the Draw Date, or a Prize Winner is no longer a Tower customer on the Draw Date, Tower reserves the right to withdraw the prize and/or draw a new prize winner at random.

Get a month’s premium on us

These terms and conditions ("Terms"), and Tower’s General Terms available here, apply to Tower’s “Get a month’s premium on us" ("Promotion").
This Promotion commences at 12.00am, 31 October 2021 and ends at 11.59pm, 22 January 2022 ("Promotion Period").?
The Promotion applies if you are: a. a first-time customer to, or a previous customer of, Tower who is purchasing an Eligible Policy (as defined in clause 4 below); or b. an existing customer of Tower who is purchasing an Eligible Policy as a new additional policy; and c. purchasing such Eligible Policy online through the Tower website in a single transaction using the promo code "1MONTH" ("Promo Code") during the Promotion Period, then a one-off discount to the value of 1 month’s premium (excluding fees and levies) per Eligible Policy will be deducted from the first year’s premium for each Eligible Policy purchased in the same transaction ("Discount"). The Discount will not apply to any renewal of the Eligible Policy. Any renewal of premiums will be assessed and set at the prevailing premiums at the time of such renewal.?
For the purposes of this Promotion, an “Eligible Policy” means Tower’s Motor, Contents and Boat insurance policies and excludes: a. Tower’s House, Landlord and Travel insurance policies; and b. any other insurance policies with Tower purchased through Tower’s partners, brokers, or advisers or by any means other than online through Tower’s website using the Promo Code.? Further, to constitute an Eligible Policy, you must not have held that specific type of Tower policy for the relevant asset insured in the three months prior to the start of the Promotion Period.
Tower employees and employees of Tower’s partners are not eligible to participate in this Promotion.
The Promo Code cannot be used conjunction with any other offer, discount, or promotion except the Tower insurance multi policy discount (if applicable). The Promo Code can only be used once per Eligible Policy. Any discount cannot be exchanged for cash or any other benefit.?
By purchasing any Eligible Policy in accordance with clause 3, you are bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms, then you must not use the Promo Code when purchasing an Eligible Policy.?
We reserve the right, in our reasonable discretion, to refuse and/or revoke the Discount where we consider that these Terms have not been complied with. We reserve the right to extend, change or terminate this Promotion at any time without notice.

Multi-pet discount

Discount is 5% for each additional Tower Pet Insurance policy purchased.
Discount excludes optional Dental Care cover.
Discount may exclude GST and/or government levies.

A month's Pet Insurance premium on us promotion

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to the 'A month's Pet Insurance premium on us’ Promotion ("Promotion"). The General Terms above also form part of these Terms.
This Promotion commences at 12am 14 December 2021 and ends at 11.59pm 19 February 2022 (“Promotion Period”).
The Promotion applies if you purchase an Eligible Policy (as defined in clause 4 below) online through the Tower website in a single transaction using the promo code "1MONTH" ("Promo Code") during the Promotion Period, then a one-off discount to the value of 9% of your first year's premium per Eligible Policy will be deducted from the first year’s premium for each Eligible Policy purchased in the same transaction (Discount). The Discount will not apply to any renewal of the Eligible Policy. Any renewal of premiums will be assessed and set at the prevailing premiums at the time of such renewal.?
For the purposes of this Promotion, an “Eligible Policy” means any Tower Pet base policy: Accident Only Plan, Essentials Plan and Comprehensive Plan. The Discount does not apply to any premium relating to optional benefits, such as Dental Care cover.
The Promo Code cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, discount, or promotion except the Tower insurance multi-pet policy discount (if applicable). The Promo Code can only be used once per Eligible Policy. Any discount cannot be exchanged for cash or any other benefit.
Employees, and the immediate families of such employees, of Tower and AWP Services New Zealand Limited t/a Allianz Partners (Allianz Partners) are not eligible to participate in this Promotion.
By purchasing any Eligible Policy in accordance with clause 3, you are bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms, then you must not use the Promo Code when purchasing an Eligible Policy.?
We reserve the right, at our reasonable discretion, to refuse and/or revoke the Discount where we consider that these Terms have not been complied with. We reserve the right to extend, change or terminate this Promotion at any time without notice.

Coastguard membership promo code

These terms and conditions (Terms), apply to Coastguard’s “Eligible Customer promotion" (Promotion).
This Promotion commences at 12.00am, 1st November 2021 and ends at 11.59pm, 30 November 2022 (Promotion Period).
The Promotion applies if you purchase a Tower Boat Insurance policy (Eligible Policy) online through the Tower website or over the phone from Tower during the Promotion Period (Eligible Customer).
If you purchase an Eligible Policy in accordance with these Terms, you will receive a promotional code (Promo Code) for $30 off an annual Individual Coastguard Membership, which can be purchased online here through the Coastguard website or over the phone from Coastguard. The Promo Code for the $30 off discount will be included in your policy letter.
One Promo Code per Eligible Policy and each code can only be used once. Any discount cannot be exchanged for cash or any other benefit.
By using the Promo Code to purchase an Individual Coastguard Membership, you are bound to Coastguard’s membership terms and conditions. If you do not agree to be bound by the membership terms and conditions, then you must not use the Promo Code.
Policy terms, conditions, exclusions, and underwriting criteria apply.
We reserve the right, in our reasonable discretion, to revoke the Promo Code in relation to particular customers where we consider that the Terms of this Promotion have been dishonoured or not been complied with. We reserve the right to extend, change or terminate this Promotion at any time without notice.
By entering this Promotion, you are deemed to have accepted these Terms.

Coastguard staff and volunteer discount terms and conditions

These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to the "Coastguard New Zealand Volunteer and Staff Discount" offer (“The Offer”).
In these Terms, "Tower" refers to Tower Limited.
To be eligible for the Offer, you must:
a. Be a New Zealand resident;
b. Be at least 18 years old;
c. Be a ‘Current Employee or Volunteer' of Coastguard New Zealand. A ‘Current Employee’ is any person who is currently employed by or Volunteer with Coastguard New Zealand under a full-time, part-time or other employment contract;
d. Purchase an eligible Tower insurance policy (“Eligible Policy”).

The “Eligibility Criteria”

A Discount will be applied to the premium at the current Discount Rate of 15% ("Discount Rate") for one year ("Discount"). The Discount may be renewed after each one year term, provided that you continue to meet the Eligibility Criteria.
The Discount only applies to the company premium amount and does not apply to taxes or levies. The Discount Rate may be subject to change at any time at Tower’s sole and absolute discretion.
The Discount is only available on certain Policies (“Eligible Policies”). Eligible Policies are Tower Standard, Plus, Premium and Landlord’s Plus House Insurance; Tower Standard, Plus and Premium Contents Insurance; Tower Comprehensive, Third Party Fire and Theft and Third Party Car Insurance; Tower Boat Insurance.
The Discount does not apply on any other policies and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, except the Tower Insurance Multi Policy Discount if applicable. To see if you apply for the Tower Insurance Multi Policy Discount., there are separate terms and conditions available on Tower’s website.
Tower reserves the right at its sole and absolute discretion to amend these Terms or change or cancel this Offer at any time without notice.
By purchasing any Eligible Policy online using the Discount in accordance with our standard checkout process, you are bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms, then you must not use the Discount when purchasing an Eligible Policy.
Tower policy terms, conditions and exclusions and underwriting criteria apply in respect of all Eligible Policies.
This Offer is bound by the laws of New Zealand and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

Allianz Partners staff discount terms and conditions

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to the “Allianz Partners Staff Discount” offer (“The Offer”).
In these Terms, “Tower” refers to Tower Limited.

CSC 1Team 'A year's premium on us' promotion terms and conditions

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to the "A year's premium on us” promotion ("Promotion").
Tower’s general promotion terms and conditions at Promotional terms and conditions | Tower Insurance NZ also form part of these Terms.
The promotion period starts at 12:00am, Wednesday 1 December 2021 and ends at 11:59pm, Monday 31 January 2022 (“Promotion Period”).
The Promotion applies to you if:
a. you are a 1Team or CSC Member; and
b. you purchase any new Tower Insurance policy through CSC’s Corporate Portal or over the phone from Tower during the Promotion Period (“Eligible Policy”); and
c. that Eligible Policy is still in force on the Draw Date; and
d. Tower receives payment of your premium for such Eligible Policy (either in full for annual payment or at least the first instalment if your payment method is otherwise) before the Draw Date.
Policies purchased through Tower‘s referring partners, brokers or advisers, through any other channel and/or any renewal of an existing policy purchased are excluded from this Promotion.
If you are eligible to enter this Promotion in accordance with these Terms, Tower will automatically enter you into the Draw (as defined in clause 9 below) unless we receive notification from you that you do not wish to participate in the Promotion.
One entry per new Eligible Policy purchased in accordance with these Terms.
There is one prize in total to be won of a one-off discount to the value of the full year’s premium payable for the renewal of the Eligible Policy (“Premium”) up to a maximum discount of NZ$1,000 (including GST, fees and levies) (“Prize”). In the event that the Prize Winner’s Premium is more than NZ$1,000 (including GST, fees and levies), the Prize Winner must pay the remaining balance of their Premium. If the Prize Winner has paid their annual Premium in full in advance before the Draw Date, they will receive a refund of the Premium paid to the value of their Prize or if their Premium is paid by instalments, a credit of the value of their Prize shall be applied to their account.
The Prize Winner (“Prize Winner”) will be determined by a random draw (Draw) from all valid entries on 14 February 2022 (“Draw Date”) and notified by Tower via email or by phone within 10 working days. If, for any reason:
a. Tower is unable to contact the Prize Winner within 10 working days of the Prize Winner being drawn;
b. Tower has not received payment of the Prize Winner’s Premium (either in full for annual payment or at least the first instalment if the payment method is otherwise) prior to the Draw Date; or
c. the Prize Winner’s Eligible Policy is not in force on the Draw Date,
Tower reserves the right to withdraw the Prize and/or re-draw a new Prize Winner at any time in its absolute discretion.
The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-refundable, non-transferable, non-negotiable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Appendix 1: CSC 1Team Members Discount terms and conditions

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to the “CSC 1Team Members Discount” offer (“Offer”).
In these Terms, “Tower” means Tower Limited.
To be eligible for the Offer, you must:
a. be a New Zealand resident;
b. be 18 years or over;
c. be a Customer of CSC Buying Group Limited and
d. purchase a new Eligible Policy (as defined in clause 4 below) online through the Tower website via the 1Team app before July 2025.
